"I love to create and build things with my hands. My passion for wood working started at an early age building simple wooden furniture as well as go-carts; my favorite toys were mostly hammers, saws, paints and brushes."

My Story
My parents encouraged my creative efforts by designating a storage room wall on which I used paints and crayons to doodle to my heart's content. In addition, my family members often found themselves subjects for portrait sketches while school shop classes inspired my love of hands-on wood working making a variety of wooden sculptures, such as Christmas nutcrackers.

As a military brat, my artistic expressions reflect a variety of multicultural influences from having lived and worked in Japan, Korea, Germany, Panama, Alaska, and Guam. During this time frame, I also pursued a formal education and attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, and a Master's degree in Distance Education/ Teaching and Training.

I am currently exploring new challenges by joining painting and wood working to be utilized as functional art. My portfolio includes wood working, sculpting, and painting.I embrace these challenges with creative problem solving to make every project I tackle an interesting opportunity for growth in my artistic journey.
